Art History and Humanities Student Symposium

Event Date: Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5-8pm in MCC

The Art History and Humanities Student Symposium promotes excellent student scholarship in Art Historical or Humanities fields—including English, History, Speech, Psychology and Philosophy—by allowing students to present their findings in a formal presentation. Students are selected for the event based on the strength of their research and must upload the title, abstract, and full research paper to be reviewed by the selection committee. The paper should be written for a Lone Star College-Montgomery course within the last academic year (including Fall 2022).

This submission form should be completed and submitted by Friday, March 1, 2024.

Please fill out the online form below and upload the following documents:

  • A Word document with the author’s abstract. Please adhere to MLA, Chicago, or APA standards.
  • A Word document with the author’s full research paper. Please adhere to MLA, Chicago, or APA standards. This text does not require images but may help the committee connect with the research.

Note: Students who are not accepted for a speaking role at the symposium may be offered a spot to present their research in poster format.
